About You:

  • You have a minimum of 3 years of experience creating 3D content for games or equivalent role in animation & film
  • You have advanced knowledge of content creation tools such as Maya, 3DS Max or Blender
  • You are competent with ZBrush, Substance Painter and Photoshop
  • You are comfortable developing in Unity
  • You are able to work independently and QA your own work
  • You have strong verbal and written English skills
  • You have amazing time management skills and you know how to prioritis
  • You are self motivated, proactive and you can speak up and share your opinion.
  • You can work from our office at least 1 days per week or if you don’t want to relocate to the Gold Coast, you’ll join us for an in-person day at least once per month

Senior Technical Artist at Roboto Games

At Roboto, our mission is to make games that are good alone and great together. Our games are real-time multiplayer and cross-platform, so friends can easily play together. Our upcoming title is a bite-size survival/crafting MMO that will also include the option to own web3 digital assets (such as NFTs). We believe in making inclusive hybrid free-to-play and -own games that are fun for years and that will appeal to a broad range of players. Whether it’s on mobile, web, or PC you and your friends can play together anytime and anywhere.


  • 5+ years experience as a Technical Artist in 3D games, simulators, or VR/AR
  • 3+ years of experience dealing with various artist workflows. i.e. Animation, Modeling, Lighting, and Asset Management
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages such as C++, C#, JavaScript, MEL, or Python
  • Strong 3D Math fundamentals 
  • Experience writing and optimizing shaders in HLSL or similar
  • Experience shipping titles with pipelines that support multiple delivery platforms (PC, Console, and Mobile)
  • At least 1 shipped title in a senior role as a 3D Technical Artist
  • Experience communicating with team members including engineers and artists
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling and asset creation packages e.g. Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Blender, Knald, Marmoset, Photoshop, etc


  • 5+ years experience as a VFX artist in 3D games, simulators, or VR/AR
  • 3+ years experience in Unity, using Shuriken, and custom scripts, to create real-time VFX
  • At least 1 shipped title in a senior role as a 3D VFX Artist
  • Able to paint VFX textures from scratch and match an established style
  • Advanced understanding of the core principles of art content creation, game engines, pipelines, and processes
  • Experience working on games as a service/live content


  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in game development focusing on concept art
  • At least 1 shipped 3D title in a Character Design role developing 3D characters for mobile and PC
  • Outstanding portfolio demonstrating a strong foundation in drawing, rendering, composition, lighting, color value, shape language, anatomy, and emotional storytelling
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Suite or equivalent 2D graphics programs
  • Strong understanding of human anatomy with the ability to create stylized and appealing characters
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English
  • Be able to work autonomously but proactively seek direction

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Producer in the game development industry
  • Battle-tested knowledge of game development and project management processes
  • Adept at managing agile game development teams using Scrum and/or Kanban
  • High proficiency in project management software i.e. Jira, Confluence, etc
  • Extremely strong time-management skills with the ability to focus on priorities, manage change and deliver on agreed deadlines
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills to maintain positive relationships within the teams and with stakeholders
  • Open-minded personality with a team-player mentality
  • An enjoyment of working under rapid development cycles
  • Highly self-motivated and accountable
