A Dark Fantasy Horror Game Set in a Handcrafted Clay World

The Midnight Walk is coming out in the spring of 2025.

Developer MoonHood and publisher Fast Travel Games have revealed The Midnight Walk, a "dark fantasy adventure built in clay" that features a stop-motion animation style.

Playing the role of the Burnt One, you team up with a lantern creature called Potboy, whose flame on the head can help light your dangerous ways up. As you two take on the "midnight walk" and survive five unique tales about fire and darkness, protect the flame from being devoured by the monsters living in this grim world.

Notably, the game immerses players in a purely hand-crafted world. According to the game’s description, “everything you see in The Midnight Walk, from the drooling snarl of monsters to the bristling tree tops that line the journey was first sculpted in clay and then 3D scanned to a meticulous level of detail.”

The Midnight Walk is also playable in a VR headset. The eye-tracking will greatly enhance the gaming experience, as you can close your "eyes to focus on sounds and manipulate the world around you.” Sounds interesting.

The Midnight Walk was created by the developers who used to work on Lost in Random, Fe, and Ghost Giant, and it is scheduled to launch in the spring of 2025 on PS5, PS VR2, PC via Steam, and SteamVR. We’ll probably be informed of a release date a bit later, but you can already add it to your wishlist now if you are interested in it.
