A Difficult Driving Game Inspired by Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy

For some of us, driving heals. You might enjoy a ride through beautiful landscapes while listening to your favorite songs, which helps chase away pressure. Things could go totally the opposite, though.

Check out Difficult Game About Driving, a single-player, precision-based driving adventure game, which is designed to bring some unusual driving experience. 

How difficult can it be? You might ask. Be ready to get frustrated and lose your temper as you carefully navigate the steep terrain in a bathtub car to a new height and then fail to start all over again. 

The game has eight challenging areas, each offering unique obstacles, like huge rocks running down to hit you down the slope or a train that surpasses you on the track to squeeze you off the track. The environments are pretty, as proved by the clips below, but you won’t have the mood or extra attention to look at them because any mistake will reset your progress and send you back to the start — the similar frustration that makes games like Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy an unforgettable gaming experience. 

Besides the tricky driving, braking, and jumping skills to test, the game also tells a story about Jeff, the naked person who drives. If you can complete all the levels, you’ll discover how he struggles to overcome his past and his father's disappointment.

“This is a difficult game, falling is unavoidable” is the friendly reminder sent by the developer, Lithuania-based Elegant Horse Studios, as they probably don't want to see players getting crazy with imminent failures that may result in breaks of keyboards, screens, or any innocent surroundings.
