A Free Procedural Tool to Easily Generate Crowds in Blender

This awesome tool by Ogjee helps create reliable crowds with easily adjustable speed, population, and paths.

If you'd like to add reliable crowds to your project, with people walking at different speeds following various routes, check out this free tool for Blender, created by Ogjee. With the help of it, you can easily create crowds and simulate their movement. Take a look at its demo below:

This lightweight geometry nodes setup includes parameters that you can modify to create the desired crowd formed of procedural characters. These parameters are for adjusting the effect of people and paths, such as people's count, max and min speed, lateral spread, paths' diversity, length, fillet radius, et cetera. Simply create a mesh, and the characters will follow it to navigate. The video below shows how you can control the path:

The creator has spotted a drop in real-time performance when diversity values go above 50. So, they prepared the bake button, which will help improve performance under such circumstances.

The tool is adaptive to Blender 4.2, where it was built and tested, and it's completely free to use. Meanwhile, the creator offers 32 additional textured, low LOD, animated crowd characters for a cost of 2€. Feel free to check it out on Gumroad if you find it useful. We recommend you check out another free add-on by the creator, industrial structure generator for Geometrynodes, which is as helpful as easy to handle.
