A New Look at Sims-like Game From South Korea

Life sim InZOI by KRAFTON gets a page on Steam with a lot of amazing screenshots of the upcoming project.

KRAFTON

KRAFTON, the developer of life simulation UE5-powered game inZOI, added the project's page on Steam. The game was first announced in November 2023 and was proclaimed a potential rival to the Sims franchise. In April 2024, it received a gameplay trailer featuring insights into various aspects of the project.

According to the description on Steam, inZOI offers to create a life story by controlling and observing the lives of "Zois," the game's characters. Players can customize their characters while they act on their free will, so unexpected events are to surprise the audience. As a player, create a unique life story, find a job, communicate with friends, and experience the diversity of emotions that life presents you with. "With inZOI, we hope to share the message that "life itself is the true gift, and every journey has its own meaning," as shared by the developers.

As stated on the Steam page, the inZOI provides a variety of creative tools. The game's graphics are created with Unreal Engine 5, which makes visuals look realistic and sparks the players' imagination. The experience is described as "fully customizable," meaning that the players can modify not only the characters' appearance and outfits but also their homes and the location of the city parts.

Take a look at the screenshots depicting vivid moments from the lives of "Zois," high-quality game locations, and the process of customizing the characters' appearance and personality.

Still guessing this will be a life SIM with almost all the life SIM stuff being put behind expensive pay walls all we want is a life SIM game without the atrocious monitization

I'm sorry but the entire appeal of the Sims is the goofiness of it. Doing stuff you normally DON'T do in real life, not mimicking actual life, the cartoonish graphics, the whacky stuff. A true dollhouse simulator. This is too close to life and will just be boring way too fast, why play a game to simulate boring life when I can just go outside and touch grass?
