Adobe Presented Substance 3D Connector

It will help move assets between applications.

Adobe has revealed Substance 3D Connector – a plug-in that will help easily move assets between Substance 3D apps and other DCC software.

The tool will work directly in Substance 3D and send materials, models, and whatever else you need in one click, without having to export and import objects.

For now, Connector is working with Blender, 3ds Max, and Maya, but Adobe is aiming to expand it to as many apps as possible, including Unity, Unreal Engine, Cinema 4D, Houdini, Katana, and NVIDIA's Omniverse.

As Adobe is testing the plug-in now, I wouldn't expect it to be released soon. But like with the new Hydra viewport and native MaterialX support for Substance 3D Designer, announced in the same video, it will probably arrive next year.

The company also released Substance 3D Sampler 4.2, adding an improved AI-powered version of Image to Material and a new AI Upscale feature.
