New non-destructive painting options for creators.
Adobe has shipped an update to its popular digital toolkit, Photoshop 24.6. Among other things, the update brings several improvements to the layers system, enabling non-destructive painting when working with text, shape, video layers, or smart objects. The update creates new brush strokes in a new layer, rather than over the content of the existing layer. You can now also deselect a layer while using the Move tool, plus the Layers and Tools panels got new tooltips.
Photoshop on the iPad 4.7 also got an update, introducing the Stroke and Drop shadow layer effects from the desktop edition of Photoshop.
