The changes, introduced to "improve" players' experience, are not well received.
On Monday, Apex Legends announced that beginning with Season 22, it would revamp its Battle Pass to improve player experience and progression goals. Changes include it is now offered per split, instead of once per season, reduced levels for key items, removal of unused past rewards, the addition of new rewards to both Free and Premium Tracks, and more.
However, one change that may not seem significant but has upset many players is the removal of the option to purchase the Battle Pass with Apex Coins (AC), requiring players to spend real-world money instead.

This change has sparked outrage among many players, as evidenced by the comments in response to the Twitter announcement. Players expressed their disappointment with statements like:
It won't be a big surprise to see the following changes in the game's Steam reviews. Negative reviews have flooded in, resulting in a recent review rating of just 45% being positive as of the time this article is written, with the primary frustration being, not surprisingly, changes in the Battle Pass.
