After 11 years since the release of the original film, we are finally given a sneak peek at the upcoming Avatar sequel.
After more than a decade since the release of the original Avatar movie, the first look at an upcoming sequel has finally arrived. 20th Century Studios has revealed a teaser trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water, set to be released on December 16, 2022. Like the original movie, Avatar 2 will be written, produced, and directed by James Cameron.
According to the trailer, Avatar: The Way of Water will tell the story of Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Na’vi Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), and their kids, the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure. Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang are also said to return to the Avatar world to play the roles of Dr. Grace Augustine and Colonel Miles Quaritch.
Regarding the movie's plot, the trailer doesn't show anything substantial and doesn't spoil any important moments of the upcoming movie. Instead, we are shown tons of beautiful digital Pandorian landscapes, forests, rivers, seas, flying rocks, and more. Much like its predecessor, Avatar: The Way of Water might serve as a perfect demonstration of movie graphics of the current era.
