Baldur's Gate 3 Voice Actors Sow Hilarious Chaos Playing D&D

Get ready for baby imps, questionable tactics, mesmerizing boots, and a lot of fun.

There's a good chance you've already seen some funny (and bizarre) clips from the recent game of Dungeons & Dragons played by Baldur's Gate 3 voice actors. If not, I'm here to encourage you to watch both parts, you'll love it or have a laugh at least as this is a charmingly amusing experience.

Hosted by High Rollers, the adventure starts with our heroes finding Tav – Baldur's Gate 3's player character – in the clutches of mysterious magic holding them in place and threatening to destroy them.

While Gale (Tim Downie), as the most proficient magic user in the group, tries to make sense of what's happening accompanied by Lae'zel's (Devora Wilde) impatient comments and Shadowheart's (Jennifer English) unmatched Guidance skills, Astarion (Neil Newbon) gets distracted by his (really nice) boots and fails to realize his plan to "rehome" some of Tav's possessions.

But it all doesn't matter soon because the group is attacked by several magical creatures. Wyll (Theo Solomon) uses his Warlock powers to cover the enemies in darkness together with himself and Karlach (Samantha Béart) and then decides to retreat from the area leaving his friend to deal with the threat.

After watching Neil Newbon's streams for quite some time, I'm used to questionable tactics (which sometimes even work, and this is the beauty of Baldur's Gate 3), but this was still unorthodox and hysterically funny.

Eventually, the brave adventurers get rescued by Elminster and move forward to find the source of the magic holding Tav hostage. During their journey, they adopt a cute baby imp that would capture players' hearts, Gale gets a makeover, Astarion tests "wine" for poison fueling endless memes and fans' imagination, the heroes find a drow that D&D lovers definitely recognize and even fight the Narrator (Amelia Tyler) in a tough battle.

Throughout the adventure, the actors seemed to genuinely enjoy the game and come up with exciting roleplays, even though most of them are not very experienced with D&D. This was a fantastic opportunity for Larian to promote its game a bit more and for players to get to know the voices behind their favorite characters.

To me, both sessions were evenings well spent, full of interesting choices and laughter, and I truly recommend watching them even if you're not a D&D fan.

And in case this is not enough Baldur's Gate 3 for you, check out Jennifer English's and Neil Newbon's Twitch channels, they are great fun.
