Last year, we reported that Casey Hudson, renowned as the co-creator and Director of the Mass Effect Trilogy and former BioWare General Manager, officially confirmed that his latest venture, Humanoid Studios, was actively developing an exciting AAA title. This highly anticipated debut game from the studio was promised to be set in a fresh and captivating sci-fi universe. The team even shared the first screenshots of the upcoming game
Back then, Humanoid Studios unveiled initial insights about the game through their updated website. The studio emphasized that the project would revolve around a captivating "character-driven narrative," setting the stage for an immersive storytelling experience. While specific gameplay and story details remain under wraps, the studio has plans to release the game on multiple platforms, although they did not disclose the exact platforms at this stage.
Later, the company underwent a name change and now is known as Humanoid Origin. This rebranding is rooted in the concept that, despite the emergence of AI-generated content, the studio firmly believes in the essential role of human creativity in game development.
While Humanoid Origin is not yet prepared to divulge specific details about their inaugural game, they have released some tantalizing concept art on their updated website.

Based on the job openings available, it appears that the development of the game is still in progress and not in its early stages. The studio is actively seeking a skilled Senior Animator who will play a crucial role as one of the initial members of the animation department.
The job descriptions provided for the available positions shed light on the game's features. They mention the animation of diverse creatures, indicating a wide range of imaginative beings within the game. The genre is described as action-adventure with RPG elements, suggesting an immersive and dynamic gameplay experience. Furthermore, references to working with Unreal Engine 5 strongly indicate that the game is being developed using this powerful game engine.
