CD Projekt Red has recently provided an update on the development state of The Witcher 4, codenamed Polaris, and the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, codenamed Orion. According to the new joint CEO of CDPR, Adam Badowski, the upcoming Cyberpunk 2 game is in its conceptual phase.
Badowski also mentioned that the studio plans to have 80 developers working on the Orion project by the end of the year.
In the same interview with Reuters, Michal Nowakowski, Badowski's Co-CEO of CDPR, shared that the studio was "considering" adding multiplayer elements to the future game. However, they preferred to refrain from delving into specifics.
Nowakowski also added that the company has hired a team that's working and researching the usage of artificial intelligence, noting that they are not going to replace developers with AI. "We think that AI is something that can help improve certain processes in game production, but not replace people."
