Cyberpunk 2077 Has Gone Gold

We've been waiting for this for 8 long years.

CD Projekt Red revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 has officially gone gold and the game is ready for its November 19 launch.

Going gold means that the release version of a game is finished, and development teams usually celebrate this moment with a disc featuring an entire game. The game's publisher can now launch the production of physical copies of Cyberpunk 2077 using this version of the game.

Please note that going gold doesn't mean that the studio wrapped the development of Cyberpunk 2077: they will keep working on paid expansions, free DLC, and multiplayer mode. Also, there will most probably be a Day One patch with fixes for the release version.

Earlier, it was reported that the studio had to turn on the crunch mode to meet their deadline. Then, studio head Adam Badowski wrote that Cyberpunk 2077's developers will be compensated for extra hours.
