Quantic Dream announced that Detroit: Become Human's sales surpassed 6.5 million copies on console and PC and confirmed it is currently working on three new projects.
Detroit: Become Human has sold over 6.5 million copies across console and PC becoming Quantic Dream's most successful title in the studio's history. The news was shared via the company's latest financial report, where the studio also noted that over 1 million copies of the game were sold on Steam.
The continued success of the 2018's title helped the developer report record financial results for three years in a row with net results before tax of over €5.8 million.
The studio also confirmed that three new projects including Star Wars Eclipse are currently in the works claiming that they are now in full production phases of development. "Now that the pre-production and prototyping phases have been achieved, 2022 will mark a new progression milestone in the production phases of these three unique titles," Quantic Dreams stated.
As for the other two unannounced projects, the job listings suggest that at least one of them will be a mobile game with social elements. Quantic Dream production director Sophie Buhl shared: "In a constant effort to innovate, we are opening up to new types of games and challenges and we will continue to make a major effort in research and development."
Quantic Dream has now 60 job openings across multiple disciplines in its Paris and Montreal studios for these three projects.
