The original creator George Broussard said it 'looks real.'
A 4chan user x0r leaked some footage seemingly from the 2001 build of Duke Nukem Forever. They claimed they have the build and promised to release it in June along with the source code.
x0r said that there is almost every chapter present "in some form" and some of it is playable, while some areas are "block-outs with no enemies." They also said all of the E3 content is in the file, although it's "the E3 2001 iteration but not the E3 2001 build." This build of Duke Nukem Forever was made in Unreal Engine 1.
Interestingly enough, the original Duke Nukem creator George Broussard said the leak looks real but asked not to expect much from it as "there is no real game to play."
Duke Nukem Forever was a first-person shooter, the sequel to Duke Nukem 3D developed by 3D Realms and published by 2K Games. It was announced in 1997 but was postponed multiple times and eventually finished by Gearbox Software to be released in 2011.
