E3 2022 Has Been Canceled

The ESA promised E3 will be back next year "with a reinvigorated showcase."

There will be no E3 this year – neither offline nor online. It was first heard about from Will Powers, Razer's PR Lead, when he shared that got an email saying E3 was canceled this year.

E3 was supposed to be held online this year due to the pandemic. Now, it seems, we won't see it for a while as the Entertainment Software Association confirmed the news:

"We will devote all our energy and resources to delivering a revitalized physical and digital E3 experience next summer. Whether enjoyed from the show floor or your favorite devices, the 2023 showcase will bring the community, media, and industry back together in an all-new format and interactive experience.

"We look forward to presenting E3 to fans around the world live from Los Angeles in 2023."

The event's cancellation doesn't have to mean we can't celebrate video games. In response to the news, Geoff Keighley announced the return of the Summer Game Fest.
