This year Play Live is going to take place a month after another major gaming event, E3, which is scheduled for June, 12—15.
Electronic Arts announced the date via Twitter and posted the update on their official website adding that further details are coming soon.
The timing for the 2021 Play Live seems a bit odd since Battlefield is expected to be revealed in June, a month before EA's event. However, fans are expecting to hear some news about the next Battlefield game at Play Live.
This year it is the first time E3 and Play Live are scheduled a whole month apart. Interestingly, this year Play Live logo features a cube, a sphere, and a tetrahedron — the 3 shapes from the original EA logo dating back to the 1980s. We can only guess the symbolism behind this flash from the past while we wait for July, 22.
The schedule of Play Live 2021 has not been revealed yet, though it is known that the event will be held online just like Play Live 2020.
