Elden Ring Sales Surpass 13.4 Million Copies

That's 1.4 million more since the last sales update.

Publisher Bandai Namco has shared an update on sales of FromSoftware's latest title Elden Ring revealing that the game has sold over 13.4 million copies since its launch in February 2022.

The news was announced in Bandai Namco's latest earnings call reporting that the 13.4 million figure was reached by March 31, 2022. Previously, the publisher announced that Elden Ring hit a 12 million mark as of March 14, meaning that another 1.4 million copies were sold in just two weeks.

The new figure marks an increase in sales over other FromSoftware games. In comparison, Dark Souls 3 which was released in April 2016 was able to achieve 10 million copies sold only in May 2020, and FromSoftware's previous title, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, crossed the two million mark in 10 days.

The success of Elden Ring does not seem to be slowing down. According to NPD charts, the title debuted as the best-selling game in both February 2022 and March 2022.

In March, President and CEO of Bandai Namco Yasuo Miyakawa also shared that the company's plans include bringing the Elden Ring's brand to other mediums to make it recognizable outside of the gaming community as well.

"Much effort was placed into creating Elden Ring so that we could exceed the expectations of our fans worldwide," he said. "In like manner, we will continue our efforts in expanding the brand beyond the game itself, and into everyone’s daily life."
