It presents a new region, characters, animal familiars, music, and more.
Hades II, a beloved action roguelike RPG, received a major update from Supergiant Games. The developer announced a new region, characters, music, artwork, and more.
The update presents the new region of Olympus to explore, where a new story with hours of new dialogue unfolds against the backdrop of the new map and locations. There, players can meet two new allies, bond with new animal companions, master the new weapon, Xinth, and unlock new cosmetic items to customize Crossroads to their taste.
The Olympus update features nocturnal arms and abilities, including a reworked Witch's Staff and Sister Blades. It also introduces a new mighty Xinth, Black Coat, which adds three different unlockable, upgradeable Aspects.

Players can tame and befriend two new animal familiars – Raki the Raven, who pecks at foes and makes them vulnerable, and Hecuba the Hound, who can stun foes and dig up useful items. It also has some exciting new features, such as the Summoning of Musical Rhapsody, with which players can call for the Music Maker, who can unlock different music to play in the Crossroads.
Hades II, the long-anticipated sequel to action roguelike, was released in early access in May without any prior announcement, and the lack of notice about the release, however, a little bit disappointed some indie devs. The full version is expected no earlier than the end of 2024.
