The companies have shared the final update on the development of a hieroglyphic translator.
The Hieroglyphic initiative was first launched in 2017 with upcoming updates in November 2018. After a prolonged silence, Ubisoft and Google shared the final update, announcing Fabricius.
Fabricius gives access to the data as open-source and works as the platform at the same time. With it, users can use translation tools via Google Cloud and find out how academics work with hieroglyphics.
The successful development of Fabricius leads to the Google initiative to apply the new approach to other ancient languages.
