The team showcased how they created the major locations, Helios One and Sunset Sarsaparilla HQ.
The team behind the fan remake of Fallout New Vegas on Fallout 4's Creation Engine confirmed that they would continue working on the project, which has been in development since 2017, and promised to share details on the project soon.
The devs shared that 2024 was a year of refocusing, and their efforts had primarily been redirected to major "hero" locations, which were critical to New Vegas because of their complexity or uniqueness. Often, they required extra work to ensure they met the standards for the entire project.
The creators promised to share WIP previews of two major locations – Helios One and the Sunset Sarsaparilla HQ, which are still in development. According to the team, environment art continues to be a critical focus for them and large set pieces like the Helios Plant take substantial effort to adapt authentically to Fallout 4's engine.

Another major location, Sunset Sarsaparilla HQ, has seen adjustments and tweaks to take advantage of the larger world space and help create more interesting arenas in the area surrounding it for both existing and the newly added random enemy encounters.
In 2022, the modding team shared screenshots and WIP images of their work. It's good to see that this fan project is in active development and that players will be able to enjoy it. Another game's mod, Fallout: Vault 13, recreating the first game in the series in the engine of Fallout 4, has recently been suspended despite a successful demo, though the team would share what they had already created.
