With Far Cry 6 turning two years old soon, fans are hungry for more deadly adventures. While Ubisoft is not ready to share much about the next title, there are some new details about Far Cry 7 promising engaging but tense times.
According to Insider Gaming's sources, the game, codenamed Project Blackbird, revolves around you saving your family kidnapped by a conspiracy group called the Sons of Truth.
To give it an exciting little twist, the developers will make you rescue everyone in a limited time. For now, it's 72 hours, or 24 hours of real time, but the number could change. Apparently, the timer can be paused when you are in a safe house, so it's not an entirely desperate run to lose sleep over.
The story is non-linear in Far Cry 7 meaning you can save your family members in any order or not save them at all. Naturally, completionists will have to rescue everyone and destroy the Sons of Truth to fully finish the game.

Insiders also say that there is a new interrogation mechanic, the results of which are not always what you want to see. Enemies can honestly share information with you, lie, stay quiet, or even escape.
Far Cry 7 is said to be developed on the Snowdrop engine and released in the fall of 2025. Hopefully, Ubisoft will announce it louder than Tom Clancy's The Division 3.
