Former Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and Dying Light developers formed a new Polish studio.
Starward Industries, the new team, is based in Kraków and managed by CEO Marek Markuszewski who previously worked as a senior producer at CD Projekt Red. The studio is now developing its debut game, The Invincible, based on the 1964 novel by Polish author Stanisław Lem. The project is described as a first-person single-player sci-fi thriller.
The team wrote that it's currently in development for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, and it is set for release in 2021. The project is set in a retro-future world where mankind mastered space travel, but there was no digital revolution and the Cold War is still happening.
The new studio is described as a team with AAA experience and AA ambitions. You can learn more here.
