At least, the side quests from the demo won't be included in the final game.
The Forspoken demo released in early December has received pretty controversial feedback – many of those who already had a chance to try out the game praised it for its visuals and combat system which, according to them, has potential for development, however, a lot of players also complained about the small number of resources for crafting and inconvenient controls.
The interface was also criticized – players noted that the text and other elements were too small and difficult to see. Some people were disappointed with in-game dialogues, others – with the parkour that turned out to be not as good as expected, but the thing that probably received the most criticism was the side quests available in the demo, many of which involved simply delivering things from one place to another.
In a recent interview with Gematsu, Forspoken creative director Raido Mitsuno addressed the topic of side quests. Mitsuno explained that the demo that people are able to play now is the same demo the developers showcased at the Tokyo Game Show and that it was created specifically for the event "just to give a feel for the mechanics of parkour and magic."
"That was specifically kind of fetch quest-like in terms of the makeup, like, do these five objectives and then you get to fight a boss. So the full game isn’t actually designed like that, that was just specifically created for that demo experience," he said.
So, apparently, the side quests from the demo will not be present in the final game. Hopefully, other issues will also be fixed when Forspoken arrives at the end of January.
