Autodesk released an update to the collection of free plugins and scripts for Maya.
Two new tools have been added – Speed Cut, a real-time Boolean add-on developed by Joe Wu, and Extrude Instance Mesh. However, as Autodesk warns in the official release description, Speed Cut will crash on Linux and Mac and so far it only works on Windows.
This release also features an updated Weight Editor tool. Also, a few tools have been removed or replaced: Curve to Tube Mesh and Curve to Ribbon Mesh have been replaced by Sweep Mesh, precompiled legacy Devkit examples have been removed for stability reasons, and Scene Assembly Manager is no longer included in the Bonus Tools kit.
Users can download Maya Bonus Tools for free for Maya 2018 or above.
