According to the recent survey conducted by GDC, 8% of developers have already started working on the projects for the next Nintendo console.
More than 3 thousand developers from indie and AAA studios took part in the survey, and 250 of them shared that the games for the Nintendo Switch successor are being developed. In reality, the percentage might be even higher because many developers decided to refrain from responding as the new console hasn't been announced yet.
Adding to the numbers above, 32% of the surveyed developers expressed their current interest in Nintendo's upcoming console, placing it behind only PlayStation 5 (41%) and PC (62%).
GDC is an annual conference for video game developers, where the organizers conduct a survey among participants. One of the most common questions in the survey relates to the platforms that creators work with.
