A new way to earn some sweet in-game cash.
Battlestate Games, the studio behind Escape From Tarkov, is intensifying its battle against in-game cheating by offering rewards to players who report cheaters. Despite the developers' previous efforts and their clear contempt for cheaters, whom they have referred to as the "scum of the Earth," some gamers have doubted the studio's commitment to tackling this issue. However, their latest anti-cheat initiative might change some opinions.
This initiative, announced in the latest patch notes, offers in-game currency as compensation for players who successfully report others violating the game rules. As outlined in the 0.14.9.5 patch notes (spotted by GamesRadar):
"Players will receive in-game currency compensation after the report that led to the blocking of the violator. Compensation comes with an in-game message informing of a successful report. Compensation for several successful reports will be combined."

While the specifics are sparse, such as the exact compensation for successful reports, the move signifies a positive step towards curbing cheating. It might take some time for the community to have full feedback on this action.
