JangaFX Released GeoGen 0.2

The terrain tool now has improved export and the ability to animate waves.

JangaFX, the company behind the popular real-time fluid simulation tool EmberGen, has released GeoGen 0.2, a new version of its terrain generator released in alpha in December.

The new release features improved export: you can export image sequences from all export nodes, export multiple nodes at the same time, and export the viewport state.

Moreover, your waves can be animated now thanks to the wave phase parameter, and nodes can be re-routed in the node graph.

As noted by CG Channel, GeoGen 0.2 reworks the Crumble node and updates the Fluvial filter and mask, so it's compatibility-breaking.

GeoGen offers a range of sourcing nodes, modifiers, filters, and masks to help you control 3D landscapes. Once described as "Substance 3D Designer, but for terrain," it provides you with tools to create planets, support for atmospheric rendering, and easy import/export.

JangaFX has also recently announced the release date for LiquiGen, its real-time fluid simulation software. The tool will be out in closed alpha on February 12.

GeoGen has a free trial, and its licenses start at $299.99. Check it out here and join our 80 Level Talent platform and our Telegram channel, follow us on InstagramTwitter, and LinkedIn, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
