Epic Games has partnered with Amazon Web Services on Project Titan, offering a unique opportunity to game artists who want to sharpen their Unreal Engine skills in collaboration with others and receive support from games industry experts.

Project Titan is a two-and-a-half-month collaborative game jam, where the participants are provided with a base open-world landscape to fill with their own creations. The final result will be released as a free open-world sample project for everyone to download and explore.

"Amazon Web Services is excited to partner with Epic Games on Project Titan, which will introduce developers to the industry-leading tools and services they need to create the next generation of interactive and immersive games, film, art, and entertainment experiences", commented Samira Bakhtiar, General Manager of Media & Entertainment, Games, and Sports at AWS.

According to the official site, this jam is open to everybody, regardless of skill level or area of expertise. It’s supposed to be an experimental and community-driven project, "intended to provide a fun learning opportunity for all".

The organizers say that Project Titan is a great way to learn Unreal Engine, hone your skills, and show off your work, whether you're a complete beginner, an experienced developer, or even moving from another engine.

Besides, Project Titan offers the chance to work side by side with game industry professionals and receive effective feedback which is incredibly beneficial for those looking for guidance or entirely new to game development.

It’s also a great opportunity to make connections within the community around the world and contribute to a fun project by joining forces with fellow artists.
