League of Legends' Executive Producer Quits His Role at Riot

Jeremy "Brightmoon" Lee will be busy with other stuff at the company.

After eight years of being an Executive Producer of League of Legends, Jeremy Lee has decided to step down from the position and move on to other things at the company. Well, at least, that's what he said in the recent dev update video.

"This year's been a bit of a whirlwind. The progress we've made as a team and, most importantly, what we've been able to deliver for you has been so rewarding. And with that, I've decided it's the right time to step away from my current role. I'll be passing the torch to a new executive producer in the coming months," Lee said in the dev update video.

The role of Executive Producer is crucial in shaping the overall direction of a project, and Lee's LinkedIn profile sheds light on his responsibilities in this position. He was tasked with ensuring the vision and strategy of League of Legends, as well as providing guidance to multiple teams working on the game. Also, his responsibilities included setting a clear direction, making commitments, and ensuring that the teams have the necessary resources to meet their goals.

As for now, there is no Executive Producer found to take on Lee's role, the company is still looking for a perfect candidate, but Lee is "really optimistic that we'll get an amazing leader and introduce you to them very soon".
