Metal Gear Solid Remake to Embrace Some Modern Features
The game's core design, however, will remain untouched.

During a recent "production hotline" event hosted by Konami, key creatives behind the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection and the upcoming remake of MGS3: Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (MGS Delta) shared insights into the development process.

Noriaki Okamura, the producer at the helm of the project and a Konami veteran who has worked with the former Kojima Productions, discussed the need for a modern-style Metal Gear to cater to today's gaming audience.

He emphasized that the graphics and operability would see changes to embrace a "modern style". Equally important, the game's core elements, such as sounds, scenarios, and game design, would remain untouched to define the iconic franchise

Being a remake of the 2004 game MGS 3: Snake Eater, MGS Delta follows the story of a FOX operative, codenamed Naked Snake, in a mission set in 1964.

Announced in May 2023 at PlayStation Showcase 2023, MGS Delta is scheduled for a 2024 release on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. When asked about the progress of the development, Noriaki Okamura says:

"Well, that caption says, 'It's going well'. So I'll just call it 'It's going well'. I'm doing my best. "
