The game is still Capcom's best-selling title ever.
Monster Hunter: World has reached an impressive milestone of 20 million units sold. According to Capcom, this number includes shipments of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition. Back in 2018, Monster Hunter: World had already surprised the world by becoming Capcom's best-selling title of all time, surpassing Mega Man, Dead Rising, Street Fighter, and even Resident Evil. Now, thanks to the 2020 release of the Iceborne expansion, the game has managed to achieve the 20M figure.
The game itself is all about hunting ferocious beasts in a living, breathing ecosystem where you can use the landscape and its diverse inhabitants to get the upper hand. You can hunt alone or in co-op with up to three other players, and use materials collected from fallen foes to craft new gear and take on even bigger monsters. You can play the game here.
