Just a few weeks ago, we discussed that Elon Musk, the Founder of Neuralink, shared that the first patient had received a brain chip from his start-up and the recovery was going smoothly.

Now, Musk has provided even more details on the patient's condition, stating that they seem to have fully recovered without any known adverse effects, and what's more, the patient is now one step closer to resembling a character from a movie with telekinesis, as they can now "move a mouse around the screen just by thinking."

"Progress is good, and the patient seems to have made a full recovery, with no ill effects that we are aware of. The patient is able to move a mouse around the screen by just thinking," stated Musk during the Spaces event on Twitter (via Reuters).

As for now, the Neuralink team will continue to monitor the patient with the implanted neurochip and will soon try to get them to interact with the buttons on the mouse.

Neuralink's initial product, named Telepathy, aims to assist patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and other conditions in communicating and using the Internet, controlling the cursor through thought power.
