According to the recent report by Cristopher Dring from GamesIndustry.biz, Nintendo apparently plans to expand its cooperation with indie developers.
Ding wrote that Nintendo continues to actively seek new partnerships with third-party companies, in addition to its periodic collaborations with them. Over the years, Nintendo has worked with studios, such as Bandai Namco, PlatinumGames, and MercurySteam.
He also mentioned that at least three studios are engaged "deep in conversation" around the development of games based on Nintendo's IP. However, Ding didn't share the names of the studios.
In addition to expanding the company's partnerships, Nintendo is also meeting with indie developers to discuss releasing their games on Nintendo platforms.

Understanding that modern games need more time for development, Nintendo is also expanding its internal development capacity.
"It's launching a new development centre and ramping up recruitment to react to the fact that its games are taking longer to make and requiring bigger teams to make them," stated Ding.
Earlier, Shigeru Miyamoto, the father of Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda, shared in an interview that he's not going to retire any time soon, the only thing that's on his mind is Nintendo's future.
