One Mod for Fallout: London Divides Players over Balls

Football or soccer ball?

FOLON

The FOLON team has finally released Fallout: London, a huge mod for Fallout 4, but I bet they didn't anticipate the war players could start over a seemingly insignificant language detail.

As noticed by PC Gamer, User GrumpyOldNord presented a mod succinctly called It's A Soccer Ball, which, you guessed it, changes the name of the football in the game.

"Are you an American exploring London for the first time and find some of the lingo a bit confusing? Have no fear! The soccer ball is now properly named so as to avoid confusion with a real football," says the description.

The creator tagged it as "humor," but one does not simply throw something like this in and walk away unscathed. The wrath it caused is comical and horrifying at the same time (users even added the "horror" tag to it.) Players took it upon themselves to teach each other what the "correct" term is and who came up with the word soccer, and it's highly entertaining and a little concerning.

"Make a requirement to install a mod that replaces Kilograms and Kilometers with AR15s and football fields," suggested one person in the comments, which also talk about guns and aluminium/aluminum.

Whether you use the mod or not is up to you, but more than the right name for the sport players are unhappy about the state Fallout: London was launched in. Unfortunately, it was full of bugs, crashes, and performance issues. Thankfully, the FOLON team provided an installation guide that should fix some problems while it's working on another solution.
