Pixar Launches RenderMan 25.1

Building on RenderMan 25, the update brings a slew of minor improvements and bug fixes.

Pixar has released RenderMan 25.1, a small update to the studio's 3D rendering software for VFX and animation.

Building on RenderMan 25, a massive release shipped back in April, version 25.1 features a sizeable list of minor improvements and bug fixes, addressing various aspects of the software, including the AI denoiser introduced in the previous update, which now supports denoising arbitrary AOVs and is fully-supported by RenderMan's XPU.

Additionally, the update features enhancements to RIS and XPU, improves the software's bridge products, including Houdini, Katana, Maya, and Blender, enhances the software's Stylized Looks toolset, adds support for Python 3.10, and more.
