Pixel Art in Real-Life: Mind-Blowing Wood Sculptures From Han Hsu-Tung

Not digital art, but they sure look like it at first glance.

Even though 80 Level is dedicated primarily to celebrating the achievements of Digital Artists, every once in a while we stumble upon something so fascinating and unusual that we can't help but shine a spotlight on it, even if it has nothing to do with 3DCG.

This was precisely the case when we recently discovered the extraordinary portfolio of wood carving master Han Hsu-Tung, whose specialty lies in creating unique-looking wooden sculptures of people and animals that resemble pixel art in real life. Today, to get inspired for the day ahead, let's take a look at some of Han’s amazing masterpieces:

Over on Han's YouTube channel, you can also find several work-in-progress videos demonstrating the creation of some of these sculptures.

Click here to check out Han's full portfolio and don't forget to join our 80 Level Talent platform and our Telegram channel, follow us on InstagramTwitterLinkedInTikTok, and Reddit, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
