See Spirits and Befriend Ghosts in this Interactive Exploration Game

Immerse yourself in an enchanting environment inspired by Southeast Asian myths and culture.

Every now and then, I hear people say they can see "spirits," and I've been wondering what it feels like to have that special ability. The award-winning Paper Ghost Stories series gives players a taste of that with its latest installment, Third Eye Open. Inspired by Malaysian and Chinese myths and culture, this eerie tale invites players into the supernatural world of a young girl with a unique ability.

"You are Ting, a young girl who is able to see the spirits around her. You form a remarkable friendship with a young ghost, Xiu, who is seeking peace. Together you will face challenges from both the real and the spirit worlds, as you battle for your mind and morality and discover whether this power is a gift or a curse."

The game spans five critical years of Ting's childhood, highlighting how her otherworldly powers set her apart from her peers. As Ting, players will navigate challenging dialogues, save lost souls, solve intricate puzzles, and stealthily evade dark spirits and other threats. Ting's journey also involves helping her family, who are on the verge of a crisis, potentially positioning her as their only hope.

Third Eye Open presents a captivating "paper theatre" aesthetic, echoing Southeast Asian Joss-Papercraft. The game offers an engaging cultural journey, featuring traditional Malaysian markets and local cuisine.
