Sequel to Co-Op Zombie Shooter No More Room in Hell Launches to Negative Reviews

This is not what fans expected.

No More Room in Hell 2, a sequel to the original zombie horror from 2011, was released yesterday, and the reaction was not what the developer Torn Banner Studios hoped for, especially after such a long time since its announcement.

The previous installment is a co-op survival shooter developed by the No More Room in Hell team as a mod powered by Valve's Source engine. The sequel received its first trailer back in 2016, moving to Unreal Engine 4.

8 years later, fans can finally play it, but the reception has been "Mostly Negative" on Steam so far.

Aside from bad connection to servers, low FPS, high ping, bugs, and glitches, players complain about Torn Banner leaving the essence of NMRIH 1 behind together with "50% of the original game's features." There is only one map and a serious lack of content, according to Steam reviews.

"I don't understand what they were thinking by bringing out an alpha version and asking us to buy it. Even if I try to understand, I can't see why they would remove all the strengths of the previous game – such as the inventory system, user mods, and detailed features – and still call this a sequel. The optimization is awful, to the point where it disrupts gameplay," shared player Minlona.

At the moment, only 32% of players recommend No More Room in Hell 2. The developers need to do something quickly if they want to turn the situation around.
