Create new modular buildings and scatter assets in Unreal Engine.
A month ago, we featured a tool from the team of Leartes Studios that saves developers time on assembling new levels in Unreal Engine. The development team announced the release of a new version bringing new features.
First, in case you missed the original story, the tool allows creators to quickly assemble modular buildings, create custom mesh palettes, create new blueprints in one click, and more.
Features:
- Create modular buildings with one tool
- Create your custom mesh palette
- Adjustable mesh snapping modes
- One-click material assign
- One-click blueprint creation
- One-click prop duplication
- Place multiple modular meshes simultaneously
- Create realistic simulated mesh groups
As for the latest builds of the tool, the team added several additional new sub-tools, plus made existing tools more stable with introduced some minor improvements.
First, there is the AutoSpline tool which lets creators distribute actors, components, and static meshes onto a spline in various shapes using its three different spline modes. The tool gives you the ability to create instances by isolating them from the spline with just one click.
The plugin now also has the Material Assignment tool saving time on tracking static mesh assets with common slots and allowing designers to bulk assign materials to them all at once.
When crafting new modular buildings, artists can rely on a replacement mode that allows them to replace the moving static mesh with the static mesh that is being hovered over by the mouse cursor by pressing the left Alt key during placement. Learn more and buy the toolkit for $40+ here.
You can also check out a pack for industrial scenes in Unreal featuring 180 unique meshes. The assets are highly detailed and optimized for game scenes. Learn more here.
