The master continues exploring new ideas and visiting the studio.
The animated film "The Boy and the Heron" was supposed to be director Hayao Miyazaki's final work. However, the vice president of Ghibli Studio mentioned that this is not the case.
In case you missed the news, the studio recently unveiled an official teaser trailer for "How Do You Live?", localized as "The Boy and the Heron" in the West.
The vice president claims that the director already has new ideas and visits the studio. Miyazaki himself has not yet given comments on his future plans.
"Other people say that this might be his last film, but he doesn't feel that way at all," Nishioka said (via a translator).
"He is currently working on ideas for a new film. He comes into his office every day and does that. This time, he's not going to announce his retirement at all. He's continuing working just as he has always done."
You can find the original story here. "The Boy and the Heron" will be released internationally before the end of 2023.
