The long-awaited sequel to Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero, Subnautica 2, will be available for Xbox Series X and S and PC via the Xbox Game Preview program next year. The title will also be available with Game Pass on day one.
The sequel will provide players with a new gameplay experience and take them beyond Planet 4546B for the first time in the series. The new mysterious planet will feature lush new environments, amazing creatures, and secrets waiting to be discovered. Both seasoned and new players will enjoy exploring the new fascinating world and get a unique gaming experience.

The new game will have a long-anticipated co-op multiplayer mode, so you can play with up to three friends. For those who wish to stick to the familiar way of playing, the game offers a solo mode, which, however, won't be less challenging.

The developers will reveal more details about Subnautica 2, "from new and improved tools, vehicles, and base building, to a whole host of creatures big and small," as shared by Donya Abramo, Community Manager at Unknown Worlds, the game's developer company.
The sequel's co-op mode was announced in February, when Krafton, the title's publisher, stated in its financial report that the game would adopt a "game-as-a-service model," featuring up to four-player co-op and a strong focus on "enhanced replayability."
