The Wolf Among Us 2 is taking its sweet time, making fans wonder if it will be released at all. A recent rumor claimed that Telltale Games has been struggling "due to budget constraints" and is discussing canceling the project.
"The source mentioned that while the project hasn’t been officially cancelled yet, they’re at a critical point where they might have no choice but to shelve it," said Reddit user Fabulous_Abrocoma_41 (via Glitched). "There’s a lot of pressure from within the company to keep things quiet while they try to figure out how to move forward, but the situation looks grim. Obviously, this hasn’t been confirmed publicly, and things could still change, but it doesn’t sound good."
Telltale decided to intervene and put the rumor to rest, saying The Wolf Among Us 2 has not been canceled.
"As a rule, we don't comment on rumours and unsubstantiated reddit threads," a Telltale PR told Eurogamer. "But development on The Wolf Among Us 2 continues and we're excited to share more about the game with Telltale fans and our community when the time is right."

The Wolf Among Us season 2 was announced in 2017 but then canceled. The Unreal Engine 5-powered project came back two years later under new management but was eventually delayed to 2024.
