The Simpsons in Russia

What if The Simpsons lived in Russia? Here’s an alternate look at the legendary universe.

What if The Simpsons lived in Russia? Here’s an alternate look at the legendary universe.

Lenivko Kvadratjić has made a short that shows how the famous series would look like if the whole story happened somewhere in Russia. The video shows a reimagined opening scene with a son getting his skate stolen, grumpy father working at a dark station, a mother in a shop, and a daughter playing music in a tunnel and then getting attacked by policemen (it appears that she didn’t get home that night).

It would be funny if it wasn’t sad. It’s actually just a video made of stereotypes, but it still kind of reminds of real stories.

The music here is Ederlezi by Goran Bregović. Make sure to discuss the video in the comments.
