The mod has been in development for 7 years and will finally be released on July 17.
Take a look at Battlefield 3: Reality Mod – a mod that will add realistic experiences for more immersive gameplay to the game. It's focused on team play, communication, and combined arms and introduces a gameplay and UI overhaul "that creates a more tactical and in-depth experience compared to the vanilla BF3."
The creators want to increase the value of a single life, "to encourage players to cooperate and plan their actions as well as to put effort in a tactical and strategic analysis of the battlefield."

- Bleedout mechanics
- Field dressings
- Limited revives
- New medic bag healing system
- Advanced flight models/vehicle handling
- Multiple factions
- Custom models, maps, game modes, etc.
- Modified FX
- Dynamic weather elements and 24 hours day-night cycles
- Multiple in-game radio channels, including positional audio
- Over 100 players on a server
Over 80 contributors have worked on the mod for the last 7 years, and it's finally ready to be released on July 17.
