This Survival Crafting Game Based On The Lord Of The Rings Is Out Now

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is now available for PS5 and PC via Epic Games Store.

We've been waiting for this survival crafting game based on The Lord of the Rings to come out. Return to Moria has finally launched on PlayStation 5 digitally and Windows PC via Epic Games Store.

Here is the launch trailer:

The game is based on the rich lore of J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy universe offering players a chance to survive the challenging Mines of Moria by managing resources, hunting for food, and carefully monitoring sleep, temperature, and noise levels. Players will also fight against monstrous Orcs and other evil creatures while exploring the secrets hidden underneath the mountain.

Resources will be used to build and customize bases – you can restore the ancient kingdom of Khazad-dûm to its former glory by uncovering Dwarven landmarks and revitalizing long-lost mines. Developers promise procedurally generated environments of Moria, which are filled with resources, mysteries, and dangers.

To make life easier, you can craft legendary Dwarven armor, weapons, and structures to enhance your character's abilities and improve your chances of survival. To do that you'll need to mine valuable resources like iron, gold, and Mithril. The launched trailer also shows how you can use different character customization options to create a unique your own Dwarf.

If you're waiting for a physical copy, a physical edition for PlayStation 5 will be released on December 5. As for the Xbox Series, the team hasn't announced the date yet, but it shouldn't be out earlier than the beginning of 2024.
