This Upcoming Action RPG from Ori's Dev Will Show You a New Approach to the Genre

During The Game Awards 2023, Moon Studios, known for the Ori game series, revealed their upcoming title, No Rest for the Wicked. No Rest for the Wicked is a dynamic action RPG where players take on the role of Cerim, a member of "a group of mystical holy warriors" with extraordinary powers. The main goal is to stop the Pestilence, a returning plague that is corroding everything it touches. However, Cerim's journey becomes more complex as you become entangled in the lives of ordinary people and political intrigue.

The combat system is a standout feature of the game. It is designed to make players think strategically and "be deliberate". The developer emphasizes that battles are brutal and any mistake can be fatal. The plot of the game will align with the gameplay, promising a mature and dark storyline.

Players will have the opportunity to purchase property and customize it to "make it your own". Also, No Rest for the Wicked introduces additional mechanics, such as fishing and crop harvesting, allowing players to gather ingredients to enhance their character's abilities.

The game also includes a full online co-op mode, enabling players to invite friends into their world, and granting them the freedom to explore and engage in various activities.

On March 1, 2024, Moon Studios plans to host a presentation dedicated to No Rest for the Wicked, where they will share further details and showcase more gameplay footage. Who knows maybe a release date will also be announced during the event, since for now, it's unclear when it'll be out.
