Utomik To Launch the Cloud Gaming Service for Android and Samsung TV

The Netherlands-based gaming subscription platform Utomik announced its plans to launch the cloud gaming service that will be available for Android and Samsung TVs.

Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead

The Dutch gaming subscription platform Utomik announced it will be launching its cloud gaming service. The company plans to offer its users the possibility to stream games from the cloud to Android phones and tablets running Android 9 or higher as well as Samsung TVs by the middle of 2022.

The app will allow players to stream games on smartphones and tablets with a resolution of 720p. Certain Samsung TVs released in 2022 will also receive support for Utomik's game streaming service via the Gaming Hub with a possible resolution of up to 1080p. The users will be able to change devices and continue playing on them.

The company also claims that in the near future, it will launch a closed beta that will offer more than 75 games including Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead, Call of the Sea, Demon Hunter 2: New Chapter, Coffee Talk, and Kingdom: New Lands. The beta will first be available in the UK and Benelux, with North America following shortly after.

Coffee Talk

Currently, Utomik offers a subscription service for PC gaming and has over 1300 titles from over 100 publishers including Borderlands, Saints Row The Third, and My Time at Portia. It is not clear yet whether the cloud gaming service will fall within Utomik's current subscriptions, or whether a separate subscription will be required.

"The addition of cloud gaming is very exciting and brings great opportunities for Utomik on the B2C and B2B markets: players can now game anywhere they like!" Utomik CEO Doki Tops said in a statement. "And with partners such as Samsung, which sells around 50 million units a year that Utomik can transform into gaming devices, we can soon deliver games to more people around the world, whether they call themselves gamers or not, opening new markets."
