According to the latest Take-Two's Q4 2023 earnings report, GTA 5 has sold another 5 million copies in the last three months, which means that now this legendary game, developed by Rockstar and released back in 2013, has surpassed the 195 million lifetime sales milestone. Speaking of the whole franchise, it has reached over 420 million units sold.

GTA 5 isn't the only game that brought some good results to Take-Two's account. The second installment in the Red Dead Redemption franchise has hit 61 million units sold, while the whole series has sold over 86 million copies combined.

As for now, we're waiting for the release of GTA 6, which is slated for launch in 2025. If you haven't seen the announcement trailer for the upcoming game, make sure to check it out here. Speaking of which, in December, it broke MrBeast's record as the most-watched video in 24 hours.

Take-Two's CEO Strauss Zelnick feels that the anticipation for the game has especially impacted the whole franchise: "I do think that excitement around GTA 6 has had a halo effect on the entire franchise," especially referring to the recent GTA 5 sales.
