CG Pro has teamed up with Narwhal Studios to deliver a comprehensive and in-depth course that helps take your Unreal Engine 5 skills to the next level.
The teams prepared the 8-week course mentored by Dallas Drapeau, a Senior Environment Artist at Narwhal Studios, Edward Dawson-Taylor, a Co-Founder of CG Pro School and an Unreal Authorized Instructor, and Daniel Langhjelm, a Lighting Artist at Bron Digital. The course will be launched on the 23rd of April.
The mentors share what the course covers:
- Foundations of Art Dept workflow, Levels, Blocking
- Blocking, Scouting and Critique, Cameras
- Materials in-depth, Pre-Light
- Addressing layout notes, Asset management, Photogrammetry
- Finessing your environments
- Lighting in-depth, Lumen, Baked, the dos, and don'ts
- Prep for a shoot, Simulated shoot, and Environment run-throughs
- Rendering, Post and project wrap, Environment run-throughs
At the end of the course, the students should be able to use workflows, and pipelines and gain the technical and artistic skills to create worlds, optimized for In Camera Visual Effects (ICVFX), Virtual Art Departments (VAD), Design Visualization, Broadcast, and Simulation, understand the new tools in Unreal Engine 5.1 and how they can be utilized to create captivating worlds, create natural phenomena like water, atmosphere, and weather, develop vast procedural and optimized scenes, and more.
